It’s been a looong year since Captain America: Civil War, one replete with hints and teases about what Avengers: Infinity War will entail. Among other things, we know that Thanos will be the main character of the piece, and that Peter Dinklage may well be joining the cast.
But this morning, we finally got our first official look at Avengers: Infinity War, via a Facebook Live broadcast from the Atlanta set. Led by Robert Downey Jr and Chris Pratt, with Tom Holland playing Spider-Man, the Russo brothers also make a brief appearance. It’s all fun, silly stuff as RDJ answers questions from fans and talks up the movie.
Following the broadcast, Marvel Studios also released a behind-the-scenes featurette about Avengers: Infinity War
Among other things, we learned that the Guardians of the Galaxy will indeed be meeting the Avengers and that Spider-Man will be a part of the movie as well. The Avengers will also be ill-prepared for the threat of Thanos (Josh Brolin), while Tony and Steve still aren’t talking.
And that’s that. Still a long way to go before the movie comes out in May 2018.
