If you’re wondering when the hell Agent Carter was coming back, fear not. The end is near!
The second season of the hugely popular and acclaimed show is set to premiere on January 5 year, filling up the slot usually occupied by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. while it’s on hiatus.
We still don’t know much about the plot of the new season, but to recap, here’s the official summary from Marvel:
“Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even anew love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.”
Most of the cast from the first season is set to reprise their roles, including James D’Arcy (Edwin Jarvis), Enver Gjokaj (Daniel Sousa), Chad Michael Murray (Jack Thompson), Bridget Regan (Dottie Underwood), and Dominic Cooper (Howard Stark).
This being Marvel, we can expect to see more tie-ins to the background of the MCU. In fact, the last time we saw Peggy Carter was in Ant-Man, where she witnessed Hank Pym resigning from S.H.I.E.L.D.
Hopefully, season 2 will also help solve the mystery of how Dominic Cooper eventually morphs into John Slattery.
