If you were waiting for Agent Peggy Carter to turn up in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. again, good news! Marvel has announced that Peggy (Hayley Atwell) will indeed have an appearance in next week’s episode of the show.

Entitled “The Things We Bury”, the episode looks like another good old Hydra vs S.H.I.E.L.D. dust up. Ex-agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) has escaped and is planning on kidnapping his brother, Senator Christian Ward (played by White Collars Tim DeKay).

Keeping it in the family, Lou Ferrigno Jr. is also guest-starring as Agent Hauer in the episode. Keen-eyed fans will have spotted that he is indeed the son of Lou Ferrigno, better known as the actor who played Bruce Banner in the 1978 TV series The Incredible Hulk. He’s also done voice work for the current incarnation of the Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Just how Peggy Carter will tie into all of this is unclear, but after that uber exciting clip from the season opener of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. with her leading the Howling Commandos, I can’t wait to see how many Hydra agents she’s going to take down!

In the meantime, Marvel has also released the first sneak peek for the upcoming Agent Carter miniseries, featuring Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) and the original, human Jarvis (James D’Arcy)!

Atwell and Cooper have always had great chemistry, and it’s great to see their characters on screen together again. I can only hope that the dashing Cooper has more scenes than this. It also looks like Jarvis may be…a little out of his depth here.

But the best thing about that sneak peek? Seeing Peggy kick the $^&* out of someone. Repeatedly.

THIS JUST IN: Agent Carter will air on ABC on January 4, 2015.
