Oh, boy. It’s been a good four months since we got our first look at Avengers: Infinity War. And now Scarlett Johansson a.k.a. Black Widow is teasing a quite mind-blowing scene.
During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she was pressed for details of the film. This is what she had to say:
“Alright. I’m in it [and] at one point, I do think that the Infinity Wars — there are 61 or 62 Marvel characters in it. There’s a lot. In one particular scene, I think there’s 32 — there’s a lot. There’s so many of us. I don’t even know who’s a Marvel character and who’s a crew member, honestly.”
Presumably, this involves a mass battle sequence where our heroes all take on Thanos, just like that scene in Infinity Gauntlet. It really shouldn’t come as a surprise since filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo have previously teased the appearance of nearly every Marvel hero to appear in the MCU to date.
Some of the confirmed characters appearing in Infinity War are (deep breath) Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Black Widow, Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, and the Falcon.
It should also be noted that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has said Thanos (Josh Brolin) is the main character of Infinity War. And as Opinionated Geek JM Wong pointed out: at what point is it all too much?
