Bryan Singer will direct his fourth mutant movie with X-Men: Apocalypse, and it will focus on the characters from X-Men: First Class (2011).
That’s according to pop culture site Vulture, who added that Apocalypse will be a direct sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past, and it will be set up in the latter’s closing moments. It seems the movie will focus on the younger, hotter cast of First Class (James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult etc), while there is no place for senior cast members from the X-franchise such as Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen.
The new X-Men movie for 2016 was announced a week ago, leading to much speculation as to how old X-nemesis Apocalypse will be portrayed. Singer took to Twitter to refute one particular rumour.

In the meantime, X-Men: Days of Future Past will hit US theatres on May 23, 2014. You can check out this wonderful bit of viral marketing, linking Magneto (Michael Fassbender) to JFK’s assassination.
