Steve Rogers may have missed his date with Peggy Carter by several decades, but viewers at home will get to see what she’s been up to after the end of Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger (2011).

As previously speculated, ABC has picked up Marvel’s Agent Carter for its 2014-15 schedule. It has also renewed Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which will have its first season finale next week.

Agent Carter will see, well, Agent Carter (Hayley Atwell) dealing with the aftermath of World War II and losing Captain America to sleeping-beauty syndrome. She was previously the subject of several Marvel One-Shot clips, which show her getting back into the whole espionage game.

Considering all the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and shows so far, we can expect the series to tie-in nicely with what’s already been revealed. Maybe we’ll even find out where T.A.H.I.T.I. originated from. It’s a magical place.
