Could Warner Bros be planning a reverse Avengers approach? According to Nuke the Fridge, that’s exactly what’s in store for the Justice League, DC Comics’ premiere superteam.

While Marvel Studios has made billions from The Avengers (2012) and related movies based on its characters, DC is clearly far behind the curve. But Warner Bros’ apparent goal is to release a Justice League movie first,  and then standalone origin movies for the characters they feel need one.

And surprise, surprise – Avengers writer/director Joss Whedon is apparently being considered to direct a Wonder Woman movie!

Someone from the competition coming over? It’s not as crazy as it sounds, when you consider that JJ Abrams is now deciding the fate of both the Star Wars and Star Trek franchises.
