You can’t keep a good Snake down. Kurt Russell has confirmed he and Marvel Studios have been in talks about a role in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

But there’s a catch. He hasn’t seen the first film (but we have, read our review here) and because of that, he’s still on the fence about a role.

Speaking on the Wolfpop podcast, Russell said: “I’ve never seen Guardians of the Galaxy so I don’t know anything about it.”

Still, the escape expert did say he thanked the studio for considering him, and he would read the script and watch the movie first before deciding if he was on board.

Russell was previously rumoured to be in contention for playing Star-Lord’s father, and while there’s been no official news on that end, I do think he’d fit the bill.

Sign da ting, Kurt!
