While we here at Geek Crusade are somewhat saddened that Jennifer Lawrence may not be one of the mystery X-Men: Days of Future Past stars headed to Singapore, there’s at least some hope that she’ll come herefor the next X-Men movie.

Director Bryan Singer, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, confirmed that JLaw’s Mystique will be returning in the next film, X-Men: Apocalypse, together with Charles Xavier/Professor X (James McAvoy), Hank McCoy/Beast (the lucky, currently JLaw-dating Nicholas Hoult) and Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto (Michael Fassbender).

Singer also said that he was hoping to add other mutants, like Gambit and Nightcrawler, to the film, which will be based on the Age of Apocalypse storyline from the comics

Personally, I’d like to see Archangel, since he is one of the Four Horsemen. And Psylocke. As in, the actual butt-kicking Psylocke and not that sad excuse that appeared in X-Men: The Last Stand.

Singer also added that clues to Apocalypse will be in Days of Future Past.

“You won’t feel at the end of the movie that it set up Apocalypse. What it does is it sets up possibilities. But what we’ll discover in Apocalypse is that events in this movie made that happen.”

While I’ve had a love-hate relationship with the X-Men movies (reducing Cyclops to an emo peripheral character, for one), I am looking forward to Days of Future Past and Apocalypse. The good feeling I had after X-Men: First Class hasn’t been totally wiped out by the second Wolverine movie. Yet.

Plus, I’ll never say no to more JLaw.

And while she’s not on the rumoured list of stars headed to Singapore, the Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage aka Tyrion Lannister) and Blink (Fan Bing Bing) are, and Fox Movies Premium is giving you an opportunity to meet them.
