The Hollywood Reporter says that the movie’s producers are in talks to film M:I 6 in Paris, in either spring or early summer as production moves forward after a pay dispute between the studio and Tom Cruise.  Christopher McQuarrie, who directed Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (see our review), is also slated to write and direct the next instalment.

The Mission: Impossible sequel has been in the works for two years, shortly after Rogue Nation came out. Given how poorly Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (see our review) was received. M:I remains Cruise’s most dependable franchise, especially with the formidable female leads he keeps picking.
At his age though – he turns 55 this year – you have to wonder how long the Cruiser can keep this up.
Mission: Impossible 6 is set to come out on July 27, 2018.
