The producers of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 sure are amazing. Or at least, their marketing department is. It turns out that hidden in the movie trailer is a URL for a, well, spectacular website.
The address is revealed in a beam of light at 02:09 of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer: electroarrives.com. Clicking on the link reveals the back of Harry Osborn’s (Dane Dehaan) head, as he looks down at some tablet which shows footage of what looks like a body falling into a tank.
The words “Ravencroft” and “Max Dillon experiment” are also clearly visible – Ravencroft is an an asylum for the cray cray in the Marvel universe, while Max Dillon is the real name of Electro (Jamie Foxx). Most tantalisingly of all: there’s a countdown that will reach zero on New Year’s Eve.
Does this mean a Spidey-related publicity stunt is coming at the annual New Year’s Eve countdown in New York, the home of one Peter Parker?
