The Gambit movie may finally be back on track! Three years after the project was first announced, 20th Century Fox has now set a release date for the long-gestating feature: Valentine’s Day, 2019.
It also looks as if Gore Verbinski, who was reportedly in talks to direct, will be helming the movie. Channing Tatum is still attached to star as Remy LeBeau a.k.a. Gambit, though it’s unclear if French actress Lea Seydoux will still play a paramour.
The Gambit movie has been a troubled project almost from the start, with directors dropping out and the release date constantly shifting. For a full account of its history, check out Opinionated Geek JM Wong’s post.
