Less than two months before Doctor Strange comes to Singapore cinemas, we have a brand new featurette from Marvel on the Sorcerer Supreme.
We already know that Strange’s faithful companion Wong won’t just be a manservant, and that star Benedict Cumberbatch is adamant Strange’s real superpower is his humanity. But now Cumberbatch reaffirms the character’s fall from grace:
“Strange is incredibly arrogant, brilliant, sort of extraordinary, and his need to control fates to control destiny, and, in particular death, has brought him to the height of his profession as a neurosurgeon.”
We also hear from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who describes the villains of the film – including Mads Mikkelsen’s Kaecilius – as “people who become seduced by what they find on the other side”.
Rachel McAdams, who plays Strange’s fellow surgeon and possible paramour, The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) and Chiwetel Ejiorfor are all present here too.
The Doctor Strange Singapore release date has been set for October 27.
