Ready to have your hearts crushed and your heads sent spinning again? Netflix has unleashed the first full Black Mirror season 4 trailer, not to mention six additional trailers for each episode.
While we only knew the episode names previously, we now have brief synopses for each episode, along with a premiere date: December 29.
Set in Iceland, “Crocodile” is ostensibly about the nature of memories and how they can be twisted. Black Mirror has addressed the theme of memories before in “The Entire History of You”, but this particular episode seems even darker.
The tagline for this episode already strikes a deeply disturbing note: “The key to good parenting is control.”
Hang the DJ
In the future, a dating app (or “system”) decides who you can date – and when your relationship expires. So a cheery episode for once then!
There’s a clearly satirical tone to what appears to be a Star Trek spoof, in which a new crew member adjusts to space life.
The series first black-and-white episode, the only real clue to what’s going on is this line: “We found a dog at the warehouse.” And the lead character – played by Maxine Peake – appears to be on the run.
The owner and proprietor of the Black Museum intones: “If [an object] did something bad, chances are, it’s in here. There’s a sad, sick story behind most everything here.”
Black Mirror season 4 premieres on Netflix on December 29.
