With about a month to go till the entirety of Marvel’s Daredevil series is released on Netflix, the good folks there have decided to gift us yet another trailer, this time with plenty of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, a.k.a Kingpin.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Daredevil trailer without Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, who also shows up with some bits of rage and shades of Batman (or CW’s Arrow).
It gives a us another window into the gritty tone of the Daredevil series, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first foray into vigilantism (DC does have a head start on that with Batman and Arrow, but you know, they’re on different Earths so what the hell).
Fisk wants to make the city a better place, much like what Murdock says in the first trailer. And I’m guessing the similarities don’t just end there (don’t flip the table on me please).
There’s also a reference to Iron Man and Thor right at the end, which reinforces the anticipation I have for this series and its role in the MCU.
In addition to Daredevil, we’ve also got Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. building up to some Inhuman goodness, just in time for The Avengers: Age of Ultron to hit cinemas (check out our analysis of the latest trailer here). It’s gonna be a great April.
Marvel’s Daredevil will be unleashed on Netflix on April 10. Say goodbye to your weekend.
Are you excited about Daredevil? Do you think Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin will leave a mark?
