Is it possible to get any more stoked over a movie? Comic book movie godfather Bryan Singer has been dropping teasers all over social media for a year, and still this second X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer has got us in a tizzy.
The best part – it’s made up of almost entirely new footage. Centred once again on the Professor X/Magneto (James McAvoy/Michael Fassbender) relationship, it begins with an ominous voiceover from present-day Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart): “So many battles waged over the years, and yet, none like this. Are we destined to destroy each other? Or can we change who we are, and unite?”
We get glimpses of Sunspot (Adan Canto), Colossus (Daniel Cudmore) and Blink (Fan Bingbing), as well as apparent confirmation that Storm (Halle Berry) hasn’t been cut out of the movie. The Blackbird is there in all it’s glory, while Charles and Erik get all emo and angsty.
Meanwhile, it’s clear that Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) has a big role to play in events, while the Sentinels lie in wait – all thanks to Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage).
X-Men: Days of Future Past opens in Singapore on May 22. In the meantime, check out the first full movie trailer here.
